McCord Museum of Canadian History
Represented by Curator Cynthia Cooper. McCord holds the leading collection of Canadian dress, with over 18,000 garments by Canadian designers. The museum contains a unique collection of hand-woven fabrics. Cooper has pledged to provide access to 117 hand-woven textiles dating from 1940 to 1960 by Quebec designer Karen Bulow, whose company "Canada Homespuns" is considered the first professional weaving studio in Canada.
